These three names are often used
interchangeably, but they are not the same. Our differentiation today is based
on only a simple principle, not on technical or expert analysis.
In terms of size, the billboard is
usually the largest; followed by the signboard, and then the signpost.
A signpost is a pole with a sign on it, especially showing the way to a place, the distance to be travelled, or the name of a road.
