Sharing data with loved
ones on all networks (MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile) isn't something new. Most
persons are aware of this but don't know how to go about it. This article will
give you a smooth ride anytime you want to embark on this journey.
How to
Share Data on MTN
1. To
share data with loved ones on MTN, you must first register for MTN Data Share
by dialing *131*2*1# or by sending REG to 131 via. You will receive a unique
security PIN for registration afterwards.
2. Change
your security PIN by dialing *131*2*5# or by sending CHANGE, with your old pin
typed right in front of the word 'change' and your new pin right after the old
one, to 131 via SMS. For example, 'CHANGE 3456 7789,' where '3456' and ‘7789’
are your old and new PINs respectively. Please, don't include the punctuation
when sending the message.
3. Once
you’ve successfully changed your pin, add beneficiaries to your MTN Data Share
account by dialing *131*2*3#. You can add up to 5 beneficiaries.
4. Once
you have added beneficiaries, you (the sponsor) will be able to share
your available data bundle with the added beneficiaries by sending the
keyword Share to 131 or by simply dialing *131*2*4#.
How to
Share Data on Glo
To share
your data plan with your friends and family on Glo network,
1. Dial
*127*01*recipient GLO number#
2. To
stop sharing, dial *127*02*recipient GLO number#
Example:

2. To stop
sharing, dial *127*02*08055357132#
How to
Share Data on Airtel NG
It is
very simple to share data with your loved ones using Airtel Smart Share
services. You can transfer data in Megabytes and Gigabytes using a simple USSD
code.
The
Airtel Smart Share service consists of a bouquet of offerings that allows
internet data bundles to be used by more than one customer in any of the
following ways:
1. Me2U: sending
a bundle from your currently active bundle.
2.
Gifting: buy a bundle for another line.
Here’s
how to share data on Airtel:
1. To
share MB on Airtel, dial *141*1*5# and follow the menu prompt to change your
pin and share data.
2.
Dial *141# >> Select 5 for Data gifting and
sharing >> Select Data Gifting or Data

note that the default PIN is 1234.
How to
Share Data on 9mobile
To Share
Data on 9mobile, simply dial *229*PIN*Volume of MB*9Mobile Number#.
For example, to share 10MB of data, dial *229*1234*10*08095678901#.
To Change
data transfer default Pin (0000), simply dial *247*Old PIN*New PIN#. For
example: *247*0000*1456#.
