A comprehensive list of phobias and their meanings. Identify your type of phobia

Some days ago, I posted the meanings of "Pentheraphobia"(the fear of one's mother-in-law) and "Gamophobia" (the fear of getting married, being in a relationship, or commitment) on my Facebook wall, and most of my Facebook friends were overwhelmed with different emotions when they saw the meanings of those words. Well, such reactions were expected because those words actually revealed the everyday experiences of most persons in this part of the world. Of course, you would definitely be pentheraphobic if you had a mother-in-law like Susana (Patience Ozokwor) in Nollywood movies. Lol! And with the way our "Small girls with big gods" behave, most guys are already gamophobic. Hahahaha!

A comprehensive list of phobias and their meanings. Identify your type of phobia
Anyway, here is a list of different types of phobias and their meanings. In order for your case to be critically examined, you are expected to state your type of phobia using the comment box after going through this list.(Just kidding!) But before you proceed, take a look at the definition of phobia.

Phobia is a psychological term for "a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it" (Dictionary.com). Simply put, phobia is an extremely strong dislike or fear of someone or something.
