Quite a good number of
NECO candidates, especially those who used NECO Awaiting Result (AR) for 2017
JAMB examination have been suffering from insomnia due to JAMB's recent update
on awaiting result.
JAMB has ordered
candidates who registered with awaiting result to submit their results before
August.
Do you think NECO will be
able to meet up the deadline specified by JAMB in the release of results? I'm
still thinking because as you and I know, the WAEC examination is yet to end
and the NECO examination has not even started.
Usually, it takes WAEC at
least three months to release its results but because of the issue of JAMB
awaiting result and other reasons, it has decided to release its results (2017
WAEC results) within two months of writing the exams.
NECO exam probably
commences towards the end of May and ends in July. Now tell me, will NECO be
able to release its results within a month? This is where the problem lies.
This is a big threat to JAMB candidates using NECO awaiting result.
However, if you ask me
whether NECO will be able to meet up this deadline, I will say a yes. These are my reasons:
1. It is a two way thing.
First, NECO seeing the issue at hand, will try to hasten up the release of its
results (NECO 2017 results).
2. JAMB on its parts,
will try to extend the deadline to suit when NECO results will be released.
Neither JAMB nor NECO would want any candidate to forfeit admission because of
awaiting result, except they don't have conscience. However, if JAMB tries to
remain rigid in his decision, the Federal Government will intervene and your
NECO result will be out before schools begin to give admission.
Therefore, let your heart
be at peace my dear friend. This year is your year and no man can stop your
admission. Make sure you read and pass your UTME.
I wish you good success!
